FALCONER To Begin Recording In December

Sweden's FALCONER have announced the addition of guitarist Jimmy Hedlund to the group's ranks. Hedlund "totally outshone the rest of the applicants," according to a press release. "He nailed every note in each of the three songs that were tested, and possesses some amazing solo skills as well!"

FALCONER will enter the studio in late December to begin recording their fourth album, "Grime Vs. Grandeur", tentatively due in early May through Metal Blade Records. Songtitles set to appear on the follow-up to 2003's "Sceptre of Deception" include "No Tears For Strangers", "Purgatory Time", "Humanity Overdose" and "Power". Guitarist Stefan Weinerhall had previously stated about the new songs, "It might be a bit too early to say yet, but the material feels very fresh and sometimes different. Over all, it feels like it's gonna be a bit faster and harder."
